    This garment is plant dyed so no two garments will ever be the same and fade will occur with time because of the natural, chemical free origins.

    Indigo is used in certain Asian countries as a medicine because it is rich in nutrients and has healing properties.

    Back in the Edo period, merchants were known to carry indigo in charm bags as the plant has antimicrobial and antioxidant properties that can help with stomach and intestinal problems.Β Samurai soldiers wore indigo cloth under their armour to repel insects & for the anti-bacterial associated qualities.

    Indigo is also a medicinal herb that is used in Chinese traditional medicine. The plant has anti-inflammatory effects and can help to treat gum inflammation, insect or snake bites, fever and more. In addition, wild indigo plants are believed to boost immunity and can relieve common cold and flu.Β 

    Mango leaf extract has been known to reduce signs of skin ageing. Mangiferin in the leaves also helps to fight psoriasis, a skin condition that causes itchy, dry patches.

    The leaves of the umbrella tree have many medicinal uses, one being when worn against the skin acting as a wound treatment.
